Get Your Raspberry Pi Handheld or Cyberdeck Case 3D Printed

A handheld or a cyberdeck is a Pi with a screen, a battery and controls. It needs a custom case. Upload your case files and we print every piece in the USA.

Three ways to start

Most people land here in one of three spots. Pick yours.

  • You have the files. Drop them all in the box at the top of this page. STL, 3MF and STEP all work.
  • You found a design online. Paste its link in the same box. We read the maker's license first, and we print it only if the license allows it.
  • You have parts and an idea. Send the sizes and a sketch. We can draw the case. A person prices that work by hand. See Concept to Part.

Handheld or cyberdeck

A handheld is a Pi game console or tool you hold in two hands. A cyberdeck is a custom portable computer you build yourself, often with a keyboard and a screen that folds. Both start the same way: a Pi in a case you shape around your parts.

These cases are bigger and have more pieces than a plain Pi case. That changes how you plan the print.

Cases that print in pieces

A part can be up to 256 mm on any side. A handheld shell often has two halves, a button plate and a battery door. A cyberdeck can be much wider. Up to 60 part files in one project and one checkout.

Split a big case where it already has a seam, and plan the joint. Screws into brass heat-set inserts make the strongest joint. A tongue and groove keeps the edges lined up. We print the pieces. We do not join them.

Each piece prints in one color. If you want the pieces to match, order them all in the same plastic.

Heat and air in a tight shell

A Pi inside a closed handheld gets little air. Add vent slots over the chip and keep each slot near 10 mm or less across, so it prints clean.

Do not seal the board in. Leave the side with the chip open to air, and keep wires and the battery out of that path.

A note on batteries

We print the shell only. We do not sell or install batteries. Pick your battery pack first, then size the case around it. Follow the battery maker's notes, and never squeeze a battery or block its vents.

Measure the whole stack first

A handheld case wraps a Pi, a screen, a battery and controls. Measure each part you own, then check your case file against the list.

  • Raspberry Pi 5, 4 or 3

    Size to check
    85 x 56 mm, holes 58 x 49 mm
    What to know
Same board size and hole spacing across the three. The ports and the cooling are not the same, so use a file made for your board.
  • Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W

    Size to check
    65 x 30 mm, holes 58 x 23 mm
    What to know
Smaller, so it suits a small handheld. See our Pi Zero cases.
  • Your screen

    Size to check
    Measure the whole module
    What to know
Count the glass, the frame, the driver board and the cable bend. The visible area is smaller than the module.
  • Your battery

    Size to check
Measure the pack and its wires
    What to know
Leave room for the wires and the plug. Follow the battery maker's notes.
  • Buttons, sticks and ports

    Size to check
    Measure each one
    What to know
Each control needs its own cutout, and its height decides how thick the shell can be there.

Which plastic should you pick?

A handheld gets held, dropped and carried. We print in three plastics for these cases.

  • PETG

Pick this for the shell. It is tough, and it handles more heat than PLA.

Watch for: It has some give. Use walls of 2 mm or more, and 3 mm on a big shell.

  • PLA

Pick this for a test shell or a desk cyberdeck. It costs less and the detail comes out clean.

Watch for: It softens in a hot room or a closed car. Skip it for something you carry.

  • TPU

Pick this for grips, bumpers and soft feet.

Watch for: It bends. Do not use it for the shell. TPU goes to a person for a quote.

You see your instant price the moment you upload. TPU goes to a person, who prices the job. A person reviews your request and follows up by email. Full details are on the materials page.

Can you print a design I found online?

Maybe. A file being free to download does not make it free to print for sale. Some makers say no to commercial use.

So we check. Paste the link, and we read the license. If it allows commercial use, we print it. If you made the file or own the rights, tell us when you order. We keep a record of what we read.

Test first, then order more

A handheld has tight fits all over. Order one set, build it, and see what needs to move. Then order the next set from the corrected files. There is no minimum order.

You get the printed plastic parts only. We do not install the Pi, the screen or the battery. Parts ship as printed, with layer lines you can see. Most orders ship in 3 to 5 business days. Shipping is shown before you pay.

About product names

Raspberry Pi names are used only to say which board a case fits. We are not made by, sold by or tied to the company that makes them. Product names belong to their owners.

Common questions

Can you 3D print a Raspberry Pi handheld case for me?
Yes. Upload every piece of your case in the box at the top of this page. You get an instant price in seconds. TPU goes to a person for a quote. We print in the USA and ship it. There is no minimum order.
What is a Raspberry Pi cyberdeck case?
A cyberdeck is a custom portable computer. A Pi sits inside a case you design, often with a screen and a keyboard. We print the case from your files.
Can you print a case with more than one piece?
Yes. One project can hold many files. Each part can be up to 256 mm on any side. We print the pieces and ship them together. We do not join them.
What plastic is best for a handheld case?
PETG for the shell, because it is tough. PLA is fine for a test shell. TPU is for grips and bumpers, not for the shell itself.
Do you supply the screen, the battery or the Pi?
No. We print the plastic parts only. You add the Pi, the screen, the battery and the controls. We do not assemble parts.
I have parts but no case design. Can you help?
Yes. Send the sizes of your parts and a sketch. We can draw a case from that. A person prices design work by hand for each job.
Can I get a printed case from an STL I downloaded?
Yes, when the license lets us. Paste the link and we read it. If you made the file, say so when you order.
