What carbon fiber PETG actually changes
PETG-CF is plain PETG with short carbon fibers mixed in. The fibers make the part stiffer and help it hold the size it was drawn at. The surface comes out matte black instead of shiny, which hides layer lines well.
Here is the part most sites skip. Carbon fiber does not mean stronger. On real data sheets, a carbon filled plastic often pulls apart at a lower number than the same maker's plain plastic. What you are buying is stiffness and a part that stays the shape you drew, not raw strength. See the published figures if you want the numbers from the makers themselves.

Heat: the same limit as PETG
Best use cases
Pick PETG-CF for jigs, fixtures, tool holders, brackets and mounts that have to keep their shape while they get handled. It suits parts where a little flex would throw off the job.
Skip it when the part needs to bend or seal, which is a job for TPU, or when color matters. We print PETG-CF in black only.
