Can You Make the Same Part Again?

Yes, for the things we control, and this page is a list of exactly what those are. It is also a list of what we do not control, because a quality page that only says good things is not worth reading.

Repeating a part comes down to one idea. If nothing changes, the part does not change. So we lock the things that would change it, and we tell you plainly about the things that still can.

When you order the same part again, these do not move:

• The same file. We print from the file you uploaded, not from a copy someone remade. Reordering runs that same file through again.
• The same material and color. Your material and color ride with the part, so run two is the same plastic as run one.
• The same print settings. A part in a given material runs on the same profile every time. We do not hand tune one order and not the next.
• The same price for 30 days. The number you were quoted is the number you pay. We do not reprice after you order.

If you are signed in, your priced parts are waiting in your dashboard and reorder runs the same quoted price straight through checkout. You do not have to hunt for the file or remember what you picked.

Every STL gets an automatic check the moment you upload it, before you see a price. We look at whether the part fits the bed, whether any wall is too thin to survive, whether the mesh is solid and closed, and whether the shape is going to warp or tip. If a check trips, we tell you on the screen while you can still do something about it. We would rather flag a thin wall in the browser than mail you a box of parts that snap.

Files that are not STL get read by a person instead. Same for any part that the automatic path will not price. A human looks at it and comes back with a real number, usually within 4 business hours.

The 3D viewer on the quote page is not a picture of a part. It is your file, drawn from the same geometry we send to the printer. Spin it, switch to wireframe or x-ray, and read the size off the screen.

That matters more than it sounds. Most bad orders in this business start with a file that got read wrong, and nobody finds out until the box arrives. Here you find out in seconds, for free, with no account.

If a part comes out wrong because of how we printed it, we reprint it free. That is our Print Right Promise and there are no fine print games in it.

We do not ask you to ship the bad parts back before we start the reprint. Send us photos and we get moving. The full terms live on the refund policy page.

What this does not cover is a part that printed exactly as the file describes but does not do what you hoped. That is a design question, not a printing question, and we are happy to look at it with you. Our design service exists for that.

This is the part most shops leave out. If any of these is a hard requirement for your part, we are not the right supplier for it, and you should know that now rather than after a purchase order.

• We are not an inspection lab. We do not run a CMM and we do not ship a dimensional report with your parts.
• We do not hold ISO, AS9100, or medical quality certifications. We are not going to claim a certification we have not earned.
• We do not supply material certificates or lot traceability paperwork for the plastic.
• We do not do first article inspection reports, PPAP, or a formal validation package.
• We do not print safety critical parts. If somebody gets hurt when the part fails, it needs a different process and a different supplier.

None of that means the parts are casual. It means we are telling you where the line is. For brackets, housings, guides, fixtures, covers, and the long tail of plastic parts that hold a machine together, this is the right tool. For a certified aerospace bracket, it is not.

Three habits make a repeat order boring, which is what you want:

• Put the revision in the file name. Something like bracket-a-rev-c.stl. Then nobody has to guess which version you meant six months from now.
• Tell us the dimension that matters. Most parts have one hole or one face that has to be right. Say which one and we watch it.
• Order one before you order two hundred. There is no minimum, so a sample costs you a few dollars and a couple of days. Hold it, check the fit, then run the batch off the same file at the same per part price.
