Can you copy a part if I only have the broken piece?

Yes. Mail it in, or send close-up photos with a caliper in the shot. Every fragment helps, even a small broken-off piece. We send the mailing address with your quote.

Will the printed part be as strong as the original?

Often close, in PETG or PA-CF, for brackets, clips, knobs and covers. We can print the new part thicker at the spot where the old one broke. It is not a fit for pressure, heat, or safety loads.

Can you make a part that carries water or pressure?

No. A printed part is built in layers, and a pressure or drinking water part needs a certified, tested product from the original factory. We make the trim and brackets around it instead.

Do you print electrical enclosures or covers for live parts?

No. We do not make anything that holds, insulates or encloses a live connection. We make cable clips, organizers, and low-voltage device brackets.

Do I need a CAD file?

Most parts print with a 0.4 mm nozzle. Fine detail, small text or thin walls can be reviewed for a 0.2 mm nozzle on our own printers. A person confirms it before you pay.

One-piece parts up to about 220 mm on the longest side price instantly. Up to 250 mm goes through a person. Larger parts are split or quoted.

What we will not make, said plainly

A printed copy of a listed part is not a listed part. The listing belongs to the original product, tested in the original material. So we say no to these, every time, and tell you what we do instead.

Drinking water

We do not make these

We do not make parts that carry or touch drinking water in a supply system.

Parts in a drinking water system have to be certified as a specific product from a specific factory. A printed copy carries no certificate, and a printed part has tiny voids between layers.

Instead: We make the trim around the water: escutcheons, handles, covers, brackets and hangers for the drain side.

Pressure

We do not make these

We do not make parts that hold pressure, in water, air, hydraulic fluid or refrigerant.

A printed part is built in layers, and layers are where pressure finds a way out. A pressure part that fails can burst, not just leak.

Instead: We make the parts around the pressure: brackets, guards, covers, adapters that carry no load from the fluid.

Gas and burners

We do not make these

We do not make gas train, burner, igniter, flue or vent parts.

Gas appliance standards are written for new, tested parts in the original material. Nothing we print sits inside them.

Instead: We make the cabinet trim, control knobs that stay cool, and mounting brackets outside the hot and gas-carrying zone, after a person checks the location.

Live electrical

We do not make these

We do not make parts that hold, insulate or enclose live electrical connections.

Enclosures around live parts need a flame rating and a listing. The plastics we print are not sold with that rating for a printed part, and a copy does not inherit the original's listing.

Heat

Reviewed case by case

A part that lives in a hot place gets a human review before we quote it, and often a different material.

Every plastic we print softens at a known temperature. Near a heater, an oven cavity, a hot motor or an engine, the wrong plastic sags or creeps.

Instead: Tell us the temperature the part sees. We pick the material that holds it, or we tell you plastic is the wrong answer.

Food contact

We do not make these

We do not make parts that touch food or drink.

Layer lines and tiny voids trap food and moisture, and washing does not clear them. No regulator certifies this printing process for food contact.

Instead: We make the parts that hold the food-contact part: brackets, covers, guides and housings that never touch the product.

Guards, structure and life safety

We do not make these

We do not make machine guards, interlock parts, fall protection, lifting parts, fire door or exit hardware, or anything a person's safety rests on.

A printed part fails along its layers, and nobody has tested this part, in this material, at this load.

Instead: We make the shop tooling, covers, organizers and brackets around the machine that carry no safety load.

Medical and vehicle safety

We do not make these

We do not make medical device parts or vehicle safety parts.

Both are regulated as complete, tested products. A printed replacement is outside every one of those rules.

One part or a shelf of spares

Most jobs start as one part. Order it once, then reorder from the order page at today's price when the next one breaks. Many plants stock two of a part instead of one, so a spare is already on the shelf when it is needed. Reorder history and part tracking live at order tracking.
