Three ways to start
Most people land here in one of three spots. Pick yours.
- You have a file. Drop it in the box at the top of this page. STL, 3MF and STEP all work.
- You found a model online. Paste its link in the same box. We read the maker's license first, and we print it only if the license allows it.
- You have only a board. Send its sizes and the ports and buttons you need to reach. We can draw the case. A person prices that work by hand. See Concept to Part.
Cameras, screens and sensors
A camera board needs a window for the lens and a way to aim it. A screen board needs a frame and room for its cable. A sensor needs air or light, so a vent or a window beats a sealed box.
Cutouts can land a hair off. FDM is not a machined part, so a tight USB port may need a test print. Our notes on tolerance say how much. Mark the cutout that must be exact.
Screws, posts and lids
A board sits on short posts with a screw through each hole. Tie each post to a wall with a small rib so it cannot snap off. Some ESP32 boards, like the DevKitC, have no screw holes at all. For those, the case holds the board with ribs, a clip or a cradle.
Leave a gap of about 0.2 mm to 0.3 mm around a lid, or it will bind. Our page on custom enclosures covers walls, lips and gaskets.
Cases that live outside
Sun is harder on plastic than rain. PETG in black is the best of our three plastics for a case that lives outdoors.
A printed case is not sealed by itself, and we do not rate cases to an IP number. A gasket and tight screws can keep out splashes and dust. They will not make a case safe to submerge. If your job needs a rated box, say so before you order.
Which ESP32 board is the case for?
Many makers build boards around the ESP32 chip, and the boards are not the same size. Measure yours and check the file against it.
ESP32-DevKitC V4
- Size
- About 28 mm wide, pin rows 25.4 mm apart
- What to know
- Espressif's own dev board. It has Boot and EN buttons and a USB port on one end, and an antenna area on the module. Some variants use a plug for an outside antenna instead. Leave the buttons and the port reachable.
Other Espressif dev boards
- Size
- Differs by board
- What to know
- Espressif sells several dev boards, such as the DevKitM-1 and the PICO-KIT. Each has its own size. Use the drawing for your own board.
Boards with a camera
- Size
- Measure your board
- What to know
- The case needs a window for the lens and room around it.
Boards with a screen
- Size
- Measure the whole board
- What to know
- Count the glass, the frame and the cable. The visible area is smaller than the board.
Boards from other makers
- Size
- Measure your board
- What to know
- Dozens of boards share the ESP32 name. Antenna type also changes: some boards have a printed antenna and some have a plug for an outside one.

Which plastic should you pick?
Match the plastic to where the board lives. We print in three plastics for these cases.
Pick this for most cases. It is tough, it handles water and shop chemicals, and it holds up outdoors better than PLA.
Watch for: It has some give. Keep walls at 2 mm or more.
Pick this for a case that stays indoors and out of the sun. It costs less and the detail comes out clean.
Watch for: It softens in heat and goes brittle in sun. Keep it away from heaters and sunny windows.
Pick this for soft parts: a gasket for a lid, feet, a bumper, a cable grommet.
Watch for: It bends. Do not use it for the case body. TPU goes to a person for a quote.
You see your instant price the moment you upload. TPU goes to a person, who prices the job. A person reviews your request and follows up by email. Full details are on the materials page.
Can you print a case I found online?
Maybe. A file being free to download does not make it free to print for sale. Some makers say no to commercial use.
So we check. Paste the link, and we read the license. If it allows commercial use, we print it. If you made the file or own the rights, tell us when you order. We keep a record of what we read.
One case, or a short run
There is no minimum order. Print one case to test the fit. When it works, order the run from the same file.
You get the printed plastic parts only. We do not install boards or put cases together. Parts ship as printed, with layer lines you can see. Most orders ship in 3 to 5 business days. Shipping is shown before you pay.
About product names
ESP32 names are used only to say which board a case fits. We are not made by, sold by or tied to the companies that make them. Product names belong to their owners.
Common questions
- Can you 3D print an ESP32 case for me?
- Yes. Upload your case file in the box at the top of this page. You get an instant price in seconds. TPU goes to a person for a quote. We print in the USA and ship it. There is no minimum order.
- Do you print ESP32-CAM cases?
- Yes. Upload the file for your camera board. The case needs a window for the lens. Boards differ by maker, so check that the file matches your board before you order.
- What plastic should I use for an ESP32 case?
- PETG for most cases. It is tough and it holds up outdoors better than PLA. PLA is fine for a case that stays indoors. TPU is for gaskets and feet, not for the case body.
- Can an ESP32 case go outside?
- Yes, in PETG. Black lasts longest in the sun. A printed case is not waterproof by itself, and we do not rate cases to an IP number. A gasket and tight screws help keep out splashes.
- My ESP32 board has no screw holes. Can a case still hold it?
- Yes. Some boards, like the DevKitC, have no screw holes. A case can hold a board with ribs, a clip or a cradle that fits its edges. Send us the board sizes if you want us to draw one. A person prices design work by hand.
- Do you put the board in the case?
- No. We print the plastic parts only. You add the board and the screws. We do not assemble parts.
- Can I get a printed case from an STL I downloaded?
- Yes, when the license lets us. Paste the link and we read it. If you made the file, say so when you order.
